GEEKY GIRL
EDITOR
October 2018 - April 2019
During my final year at university, I worked on developing Geeky Girl Magazine with a team of fellow students.
Geeky Girl is a nerd culture magazine that gives women a voice in a traditionally male-dominated community. We explore nerd culture and its related industries through a female lens and aim to provide content that is important and relevant to our readers.
With the plethora of more masculine nerd publications on the market, we wanted to make something that is for women and appreciates the positive changes that individuals are pushing for.

As editor, I organised the team, kept track and was in charge of making the final decisions.

AMINO APPS

Amino is a social platform with subcommunities, similar to Reddit. I led a team of curators to tailor the app’s featured feed to display high-quality content. I moderated posts and oversaw the daily activities of a community with over 1 million members. I also developed growth techniques to encourage content creation from users and worked with Amino to promote the community on social platforms (Instagram, YouTube and Facebook).
